Happy New Year! Wow its been so long since I last posted, October last year to be precise and now it is the start of a new year where most of us will start by saying “oh new year.. new me!” but within 3 weeks break it.
A lot has changed for me in the last few months with work and relationships. I’ve taken some time away from this to get my head sorted because there was no way I could have written any posts!
First I would like to say thank you to some of the people who I know have helped me through one of the toughest years of my life. My parents who I really couldn’t live without. My amazing best friends Lydia, Jennie (who you can find over at Jennie Emma) and Jodi, you guys have really helped me through a tough few months after the stuff in my personal life and I want to say a massive thank you to you guys. Also to my amazing friends Jo and Georgie, who without your help I wouldn’t be able to find the motivation!
So onto my 2016 goals.
1. The gym bunny
I know most people will turn around and say at the beginning of the year “I’m going to spend all my time in the gym” or “I’m going to get that gym body” and I even said it this time last year but with one thing and another.. mainly motivation I never got it started. This year is going to be where I finally find who I am and get myself to be the gym bunny. And a Fitbit really helps!
2. Not worrying about what others think
Throughout the last year I was always worried about what people thought of me and my appearance. I kept scrolling through images on Instagram and Twitter comparing myself to others in their looks or body thinking mine was never going to be like that. But this time away has finally given me that thinking space and I realised something- we are all individual, we are not the same. Something that will be easy for one person might not be the easiest for the next. If you want that killer body, go and do something about it!
3. Live your life- Now!
This point goes back to the previous one a little in the fact about worrying. For a few years I have been worrying about the future and the stuff that will happen there only to realize I am the only one who can make any changes to my future. People who know me, know I made a massive change to it in September with my relationship, I had to because I needed to!
These last few months have shown me we all only have one life! You need to live for the moment now and not for what has happened in the past or what could happen in the future. If you don’t then a lot of opportunities will pass you by in an instant!
Well if your at this point thank you for reading all the way through this!
What would you like to change for the new year?
